James Craig1871-1940Born in Belfast. After leaving the army he became involved in politics. He organised the campaign against Home Rule and also the Covenant. He helped with the gun running for the UVF. He was Northern Ireland’s first prime minister and established both the RUC and the B Specials. In 1927 he was made Viscount Craigavon of Stormont. He is buried in Belfast.
