Helena Concannon (née Walsh) 1878-1952
Born in Maghera, County Derry. She was a prolific writer and was also a senator and TD. Her works include Defenders of the Ford, Irish Nuns in Penal Days, Women of Ninety Eight and a biography of Oliver Plunkett. She is buried in Galway.
