Tom Crean 1887-1938

He was born in Anascaul, County Kerry. He was on Scott’s expedition to the Antartic in 1901 and again in 1910 when he helped save Evans. He was also on the Endurance expedition with Shackleton. He is buried in Ballynacourt Cemetery, one mile from Annascaul, County Kerry.
