Grace Gifford 1888-1955 Born in Dublin. A cartoonist, she was a member of Sinn Féin and supported the Easter Rising. She was due to marry Joseph Plunkett on Easter Sunday and did marry him just before his execution. She was against the Treaty and spent time in prison. Her caricatures were published in three collections. She is buried in the Plunkett family plot in Dublin. |
