John Purser Griffith 1848-1938 Born in Holyhead, Anglesea, North Wales. He was the Grand Old Man of engineering. He was involved with the Dublin docks, with peat and hydroelectric power. He was given the honorary freedom of Dublin. He is buried in Dublin.
