Muriel Gifford MacDonagh, died 1917 She was the widow of Thomas MacDonagh who was executed in 1916. She was a sister of Grace who married Joseph Mary Plunkett a few hours before his execution. Although a strong swimmer, she drowned after swimming to an island near Skerries to plant a flag. She is buried in Dublin. |
