Alice Stopford Green 1847-1929
Born in Kells, County Meath. She married John Richard Green, an English historian, helped him with his work and after his death completed his book Conquest of England. She then wrote a number of books on Irish history including The Making of Ireland and Its Undoing, Irish Nationality and History of the Irish State to 1014. She is buried in Dublin.
