Sir Benjamin Lee Guinness 1798-1868 Born in Dublin. He was a Lord Mayor of Dublin and M.P. 1865-68. He was chiefly responsible for the restoration of St Patrick’s Cathedral, and there is a statue of him in it’s grounds. He is buried in Dublin.
