Born in Dublin. He was a sculptor who studied in both London and Paris. His best known work is the statue of Queen Victoria which stood in front of Leinster House; Madonna and Child and Man of Sorrows in Loughrea Cathedral. He is buried in Nice in a common grave with no marker.
