William HareBorn in Derry. The other half of the famous duo who provided corpses for the medical schools in Edinburgh by murdering their tenants – 15 in all before they were caught. Hare turned king’s evidence and Burke was hung in Edinburgh. Hare died in poverty and obscurity and his grave is unknown. |
