Stanislaus Joyce
1884-1955
Born
in Dublin. He was the younger brother of
James. He worked as an English
language teacher and Professor in Trieste. He believed in his brother’s
genius and supported him in many difficulties. He himself wrote
Recollections of James Joyce by his Brother S.J., My Brother’s Keeper,
The Dublin Diaries of Stanislaus Joyce and The Complete Diaries of
Stanislaus Joyce. He is buried in Trieste. Bottom photo by Luisella Salvini
