Christopher Moore 1781-1864

He was a sculptor whose works include the bust of Curran in St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin and the statue of Thomas Moore at the junction of Westmoreland Street and College Street, Dublin. The inscription on the front has disappeared but according to Historic Graves in Glasnevin Cemetery 1915 it read “Sacred to the memory of C. Moore ESQ., Sculptor, R.H.A., who died 14th February 1864 aged 83 years. Erected by his brother Thomas”.
