Count John McCormack 1884-1945

Born in Athlone, County Westmeath. One of the most famous tenors of his day, he was made a hereditary Papal Count in 1928 for his services to charity. He made numerous recordings and appeared in films, the most famous being Song O My Heart. He is buried in Dublin.
