Michael Joseph MacManus 1888-1951 Born in Carrick on Shannon in County Leitrim. He was literary editor for the Irish Press. His works include A Green Jackdaw, A Jackdaw in Dublin, So This is Dublin and several books of poetry including Connaught Songs and Rackrent Hall. He is buried in Dublin.
