Seán MacDermott 1884-1916 Born in Kiltyclogher, County Leitrim. In 1907, he began to work full time for Sinn Féin. He was the mastermind of the Easter Rising and fought in the GPO. He was reported as saying “We’ll hold Dublin for a week but we’ll save Ireland”. He is buried in Arbour Hill, Dublin along with the other leaders of the Easter Rising.
