Charlotte Grace O’Brien 1845-1909 Born in Cahirmoyle, County Limerick. She was the daughter of William Smith O’Brien. She was a botanist as well as a writer. She also became involved in the work to relieve the conditions on the coffin ships and in the tenements in New York. Her works include A Tale of Venice, Light and Shade, Lyrics and Oliver Dale. She is buried in County Limerick.
