Peadar Ó Doirnín died 1769
His birth date is given as anything between 1682 and 1704. He was born in County Louth or perhaps County Tipperary. He seems to have been employed as a tutor to Arthur Brownlow’s children in Lurgan and after falling out with him he went to Forkhill and became a schoolteacher. He was a writer of poems and verses on a variety of topics in both English and Irish. He is buried at Urney, County Louth.
