Born in New Ross, County Wexford. He was a clerk with the Irish Volunteer Office. He fought in Jacob’s Factory. He also wrote two plays which were published posthumously - A Swordsman of the Brigade and When the Normans Came. He was executed by the British after the Easter Rising. He is buried with the other executed leaders of 1916 in Arbour Hill, Dublin.
