Brian O’Higgins 1882-1963
Born in Kilskyre, County Meath. He was a writer and poet who was involved in the republican movement and this is reflected in his works which include By a Hearth in Eirinn, Songs of Glen-na-Móna, Hearts of Gold, The Little Book of Ireland and many others in the ‘Little Book’ series. He is buried in Dublin.
