Pádraig Ó Siochfhradha 1883-1964 Born near Dingle, County Kerry. He was a member of the Gaelic League and the Irish Volunteers and was interned 1918-1922. He worked as a teacher and became a civil servant after the establishment of the State. He wrote novels and short stories and a number of his works were very popular. These include An Baile Seo ’Gainne, Seáinín nó Eachtra Mic Mí-rialta and Jimín Mháire Thaidhg. He is buried in Dublin.
