Tadgh Gaelach Ó Súilleabháin 1715-1795 Born in Drumcollogher, County Limerick. He spent much of his early life in Munster, particularly Cork. Some of his poems survive from this period but in middle age he went to Dungarvan and began to write religious poems which were sung as hymns long after his death. He is buried in County Waterford.
