Esmé Stuart
‘Lennox’ Robinson 1886-1958

Born
in Douglas, County Cork. He was a dramatist and manager of the Abbey
Theatre. He was the Editor of The Oxford Book of Irish Verse and his works
include The Clancy Name, The Whiteheaded Boy, The Far Off Hills, Drama at
Inish, The Lost Leader, Ever the Twain and Church Street. He also wrote
Ireland’s Abbey Theatre and two volumes of autobiography. He is buried
in Dublin.
