Florence Mary
Wilson 1874-1946

Born
in Lisburn, County Antrim. She was a friend of Alice Milligan and wrote
pieces for Irish Homestead and other journals and papers. Her book of
poems The Flight of the Earls was very popular, especially in America. She
is best remembered for her poem The Man from God Knows Where, about Thomas
Russell. She is buried in County Down.
