Robert Arthur
Wilson 1820-1875 Born in County Donegal. He was a journalist who was extremely popular for his humourous writings under the name of ‘Barney Maglone’. These include Almeynack for All Ireland an’ Whoever Else Wants It and The Reliques of Barney Maglone which were compiled after his death. He died in Belfast having celebrated too enthusiastically the O’Connell centenary events in Dublin. He is buried in Belfast.
