Frank Aiken 1898-1983

Born in Camlough. He was a member of the Irish Volunteers and fought in the War of Independence. He was Chief of Staff of the IRA from 1923-25. He joined Fianna Fail and served in several ministries as well as being Tanaiste. He is buried in Camlough.
