Gallipoli

After the ending of the Gallipoli campaign 3,411 of the dead, wounded or missing were from the 10th (Irish) Division. Gallipoli is not an easy place to find your way around. Most of the tourism is directed at Australians and New Zealanders. I was very fortunate to be put in touch with Eric Goossens www.gallipoli.com.tr who brought me to all the sights and cemeteries associated with the Irish battalions. If you are thinking of going to Gallipoli contact him first. Most of these graves belong to members of the Royal Dublin Fusiliers but there are many from other Irish Regiments buried in Gallipoli.
