Erskine Hamilton Childers 1905-1974 Born in London, he was the son of Robert Erskine Childers. He was first elected to the Dail in 1938 and held four different ministerial posts, before he was elected President of Ireland. He died of a heart attack while in office. He is buried in Co Wicklow.
