James MacDonnell 1763-1845

Born in Cushendun, County Antrim. One of the founders of the Royal Hospital, Belfast, member of the Literary Society and a founder of the Linenhall Library and of the Belfast Medical School. He is buried in Layde Church, 1 mile nne of Cushendall.
