King William III 1650-1702

Born at the Hague, Holland. King of England from 1688-1702. He is remembered for his defeat of James ll at the Battle of the Boyne.

He is buried in Henry ll’s chapel in the royal vault below the south aisle, Westminster Abbey, London. A stone marker bears the inscription William lll 1702. His Queen lies beside him, her stone reads Queen Mary ll 1694.
