Lord Ardilaun
Arthur Edward Guinne He was a philantropist who rebuilt the Coombe Lying-in Hospital; re-opened St Stephens Green to the public and laid it out at his own expense; bought Muckross estate in Killarney to preserve it; and after his death gave his house and land at St Anne’s, Raheny, to the city of Dublin. There is an inscription on the wall: God bless the man who doth this hallowed place revere But cursed be he who would disturb those sleeping here He is buried in Dublin.
