Raymond McGrath 1903-1977 Born in Sydney. He studied architecture at Cambridge. His work attracted the
major artists and architects of the day. He came to Ireland in 1940 and became
Principle Architect in the Office of Public Works in 1948. He wrote a couple of
books -Twentieth Century Houses and Glass in Architecture Decoration. His work
is currently undergoing a major appreciation. He is buried in Dublin. |
